The Awards Program is designed to celebrate student achievement
across all areas of College life. We place high importance on
recognizing individual pursuit of excellence, self-improvement,
determination and positive contributions to society.
Throughout the school year, student achievement is recognized at the Campus level and at whole-school events.
Academic Awards are recognised for both academic excellence and endeavour and include:
- Academic Excellence Award (Years 7-11)
- VCE High Achievement Awards
- Community Award
- Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Sports Woman/Man of the Year
Magone Awards: College Colours
The purpose of the College Colours is to provide a means of
recognizing student achievement across all aspects of College life.
Those who set a fine example to others by displaying outstanding
courage, courtesy, effort and achievement.
Awards are given to students who are exemplars in the following areas:
- Academic Success
- Sportsmanship
- Social Awareness
- Cultural Endeavours
To qualify for a College Colour, a student is to have achieved at a
high level, shown consistent effort or improvement and involved
themselves in a wide variety of pursuits offered by the College and the
wider community. These will be recognized when students meet the
following achievement levels:
BRONZE AWARD: Five Awards in any of the four categories listed above.
SILVER AWARD: 12 Awards involving at least three of the four categories.
GOLD AWARD: 20 Awards covering all four categories.
PLATINUM AWARD: One student per calendar year who has achieved the
most nominations for that year, covering all four categories. This
person can be from any year level.
