Here at Salesian College we are committed to the teaching practices
of St John Bosco (Don Bosco), the founder of the Salesians. An essential
characteristic of Don Bosco’s approach was his interest in the young
person as a person, and in his or her complete formation as a human
being and Christian.
By creating a friendly school environment, educators in the Salesian
tradition offer their students the time, opportunity and guidance to
know themselves better, to understand the purpose for their existence,
to help them develop their God-given talents and to prepare them to take
their rightful place within their families, the Church and society.
In keeping with this tradition, and guided by the Charter for Salesian Schools in Australia, our school community strives to be:
a home that welcomes
a parish that evangelises
a school that prepares for life
a playground where friends meet and enjoy themselves
